The Volunteer of the Month award program recognizes volunteers who make a difference in our school. Nominees are evaluated based on the following criteria:

 

• Demonstrates the initiation or implementation of a program at East Hill

• Demonstrates outstanding performance in volunteer duties

• Demonstrates a high level of willingness to help others within the school (staff, volunteers, students)

• Demonstrates a high level of commitment to the volunteer programs at East Hill

• Demonstrates and maintains good relationships with staff, volunteers and students

 

Only East Hill Elementary Staff Members may submit nominations. Nominees may be staff members of East Hill but should be rewarded for activities outside their staff responsibilities – volunteer hours only. Once nominated, volunteers are considered by the East Hill Board of Directors. One winner is recognized each month and will be recognized at the next General Membership Meeting, have a write up about them in the Newsletter and on the PTA Website, as well as having information displayed about them in the PTA display. They will also receive a certificate and small token of appreciation from the PTA. One winner is selected each month from October to June for a total of 9 winners.
