WA State PTA Awards

 

The Washington State PTA has a number of different awards including Local Unit Honor Award, Local Unit Taking Significant Action, Local Unit Standards of Excellence, Outstanding Communications, Outstanding Newsletters, Outstanding Website. There are also a number of membership awards including the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Membership awards, 100% Teacher Membership, 100% Membership Award and the 14 in 14 Award. 

Individual Awards

 

The purpose of the Individual Awards is an individual recognition program to build pride and participation in and an awareness of the PTA programs provided by the Washington State PTA, Kent Area Council and our Local East Hill PTA. This program recognizes individuals for outstanding efforts. Provides us with motivation to provide quality service to our community and helps boost involvement by our members. 

Leadership Academy

 

The Leadership Academy Award Program is to recognize and acknowledge leadership skills atained by PTA Leaders. The award program includes a multi-level award program including Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Crystal Levels. This program has been in existence for a number of years but our PTA will newly be participating in it for the 2014 - 2015 school year. 

Awards

 

There are various award programs that East Hill PTA participates in. The Washington State PTA has a number of awards that recognize local PTA's and individuals for outstanding efforts. We also participate in the Individual Awards that are for individuals in the local unit's that are celebrated through the Kent Area Council's Founders Day Event. A new program for our PTA is the Leadership Academy for our PTA Board Leaders. We also are starting a new Volunteer recognition program fo the 2014-2015 School Year.

Volunteer of the Month Program

 

Each month one volunteer is selected from nominations by East Hill Staff. The volunteer of the month will receive special recognition at the next general membership meeting, will be written about in the PTA Newsletter and Website, as well as having a display about them at school. The purpose of this program is to recognize our volunteers for their hard work and effort to enrich the lives of East Hill students as well as raise awareness for the need for volunteerism both in the PTA and at East Hill.
